Depression is a debilitating condition that 1 in 5 people will experience in their lifetime. Whether depression is caused by a job loss, relationship break-up, stress, or a combination of factors, no one is immune. The two most common forms of depression are:

  • Major Depression: An episode of extreme sadness lasting at least two weeks or longer. This is often triggered by a deeply upsetting event, or a culmination of several events or stressors. Additional symptoms can include loss of energy, feelings of worthlessness or guilt, difficulty concentrating, sleep problems, and frequent thoughts of death.

  • Chronic Depression: Also known as Dysthymia, it is a low-grade, long-term depression that can last for years. This condition is often accompanied by fatigue, low self-esteem, and feelings of hopelessness.

You can recover from depression. The road to recovery may seeming daunting, but having recovered from depression myself, I know where the potholes are, and I can teach you how to avoid them. Allow me to lead you on your journey to a happy and fulfilling life.
